"The place where the questions about the reality of God and about the reality of the world are answered at the same time is characterized solely by the name: Jesus Christ. God and the world are enclosed in this name... we cannot speak rightly of either God or the world without speaking of Jesus Christ. All concepts of reality that ignore Jesus Christ are abstractions."
Ethics
Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Trinity students were blessed Thursday morning by our guest speaker, David Johnson. Mr. Johnson is President and Founder of Silent Images. Here is Silent Images' Mission Statement:

Silent Images is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization that seeks to tell the stories of hope in the midst of persecution, poverty, or oppression through journalistic photography, videography, and writing. The stories and images are provided to non-profit organizations in an effort to educate and be a voice for the voiceless around the world.

It was a beautiful time as David shared stories and images, reinforcing concepts that Mrs. McNelis and myself have been teaching, viz: words and imagery are powerful tools, and when properly combined, can affect change.

The artistry of David Johnson is changing people's lives.

David's visit was a living testimony to the impact teachers have on the lives of their students- he is a former student of Mrs. Amy McNelis. "Before Mrs. McNelis," said David "English was my worst subject. She was the first teacher who told me, 'You can do it!' She believed in me."

Now David Johnson goes into the world, fleshing out the expression 'hands and feet of Christ', telling  the hopeless there is hope
